When it does come time for cleaning, we recommend washing in cold water either by hand or on the gentlest cycle setting in a machine. Both the India and Ethiopian scarves will become softer with each wash. Please note that some natural dyes of the Indian hand-block printed scarves will bleed the first few washing, so we recommend washing alone or with like colors. Air dry flat, iron if desired. We also recommend this if you wish to return your scarf to its original shape after continuous wear.
COLOR AND PATTERN VARIATIONS
Because of the nature of our hand block printing and hand weaving process, slight color and pattern variations are to be expected and celebrated. No two designs are exactly alike, and each scarf has been lovingly and carefully made from start to finish by an entire interconnected community of specialized artisans and weavers. We hope you take great pride in the subtle variations of your scarf.
TAARIK scarves are small-batch handmade textiles, and variations in color, pattern, and size should be expected. TAARIK does not accept returns for scarves because of these irregularities. However, if for some other reason you are not satisfied with your scarf, you may return your (clean, unworn) scarf to our address within one week (7 days) of receipt for a full refund. Please use our email form on the contact page telling us why you aren't satisfied and we'll provide you with the necessary return details and address. Thank you!
